Rates

Rates are variable depending on services offered. Rates of common services are provided below. Rates for all services will be provided prior to beginning treatment. A “good faith estimate” cannot be provided until you have completed a psychological intake and a treatment plan has been established. Typically, therapy sessions are weekly. Specialized services vary in frequency.

    • Psychological Intake (1st Appointment): $275.00 - 60 minutes
    • Individual Therapy: $250.00 - 55 minutes
    • Shorter or longer appointments available — fees vary — please inquire
  • Couples | Relationship Therapy Fees:*
    • Psychological Intake (1st Appointment): $525.00 - 105 minutes
    • Couples | Relationship Therapy: $450.00 - 90 minutes

* These appointments are always booked as extended sessions to allow ample time for in-depth exploration of the relationship issues as experienced by all parties. Fees reflect the complexity and additional time allotted to providing comprehensive treatment to 2+ individuals. Scheduling for couples/relationship appointments typically adheres to the following format before beginning Ongoing Relationship Therapy:

1 Relationship Intake and 1 Individual Session for Each Person in the Relationship

    • Psychological Intake (1st Appointment): $275.00
    • Preparation Sessions: $250.00
    • Dosing Sessions:
      • 1st Dosing: $750.00 (3 hrs)
      • Subsequent Dosing: $550.00 (2.5 hrs)
    • Integration Sessions: $250.00
    • Couples and small group rates available for KAP services — please inquire
  • Psychedelic Integration Therapy Fees:
    • Psychological Intake (1st Appointment): $275.00
    • Fees vary according to services provided — please inquire

Payment

Payment is due at each session unless another payment plan has been established. All major credit and debit cards are accepted as forms of payment. Additional payment options, such as use of money transferring apps (PayPal, Zelle, etc.) may be available.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice from the start of your session time will be charged $100 for the first missed session and full session fees for any additional missed sessions in which less than 24 hour notice is provided.

  • KAP DOSING sessions require 48 HOURS NOTICE to avoid cancellation fees. Dosing sessions specifically are allotted up to 3 hours of scheduled time with your provider and timely notice regarding the need to reschedule/cancel is essential in order to allow for scheduling and access to care for others. 50% of the full rate of service will be charged for late cancellations and/or no shows on dosing sessions. Multiple missed dosing sessions may result in full rate of service being charged.
  • Psychedelic Integration and other specialized services may have a 48 hour cancellation notice. You will be informed of all cancellation policies for any services you receive and your cancellation policy will be provided to you and reviewed prior to beginning treatment.

We appreciate your advanced notice of schedule changes to avoid these fees.

Insurance

Dr. Kelly is considered an out-of-network provider, which means that she does not participate with any insurance companies. She will provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network benefits reimbursement. The rates of reimbursement will depend on your plan, but often services are covered partially or in full.

Please contact your insurance provider to verify how your plan compensates you for mental health services. Journey Psychological Services does not interface directly with your insurance company at any time – if you plan to use your health insurance to receive reimbursement please refer to the guide below to ensure you will be reimbursed prior to beginning services.

How to Verify Out-Of-Network Benefits:

Set aside 15-30 minutes to contact your health insurer prior to starting therapy. Have your health insurance card, demographic information for the client and the primary insurer (if they are different), and a piece of paper/pen handy for your call. Write down the name of the representative you speak to, along with the time and date, and any reference numbers provided to you.

Ask your insurance provider the following questions to help determine your benefits:

  • Do I have a behavioral health/mental health policy with out-of-network benefits?
  • What (if any) are the requirements or pre-authorizations required to use out-of-network benefits?
  • Do I need written approval or a referral from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
  • What percentage of services is covered? What is my co-insurance?

  • If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • What is the calendar start date that my policy uses to determine a “benefit year”?
    • Some companies use the standard calendar to reset benefits, while other have an internal calendar, such as April 1 – March 31

  • If so, what is the limit?
  • How many sessions do I have left?
  • Are there are restrictions on types of sessions (diagnostic interview, individual sessions, family sessions, group therapy)?

  • Can claims be submitted electronically? If so, how?
  • What is the turn around time on reimbursement funds after the claim is submitted?

Reduced Fees

Dr. Kelly works on a sliding scale/pro bono basis for a limited number of patients per year for individuals with no or low income experiencing financial hardship. At this time, these appointments are full and due to high demand we are unable to maintain a waitlist.
